Transliteration:
Allahumma lakal-hamdu anta kasawtanihi, as’aluka min khairihi wa khairi ma suni’a lahu, wa a’udhu bika min sharrihi wa sharri ma suni’a lahu.

Urdu Translation:
اے اللہ! تیرے ہی لیے ہر قسم کی تعریف ہے، تجھی نے مجھے یہ پہنایا، میں تجھی سے سوال کرتا ہوں اس کی بھلائی کا اور اس کام کی بھلائی کا جس کے لیے اسے بنایا گیا ہے اور میں تیری پناہ میں آتا ہوں اس کے شر سے اور اس کام کے شر سے جس کے لیے اسے بنایا گیا ہے۔

English Translation:
“O Allah, all praise is for You. You have clothed me with it. I ask You for its goodness and the goodness of what it was made for, and I seek refuge with You from its evil and the evil of what it was made for.”

تُبْلِیْ وَیُخْلِفُ اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی

Transliteration:
Tublee wa yukhlifu Allahu ta’ala.

Urdu Translation:
تم اسے بوسیدہ کرو اور اللہ تعالیٰ (تمہیں) اس کے عوض اور دے۔

English Translation:
“May you wear it out and may Allah replace it with another.”

Arabic:

اِلْبَسْ جَدِیْدًا وَّعِشْ حَمِیْدًا وَّمُتْ شَھِیْدًا

Transliteration:
Ilbas jadeedan wa ‘ish hameedan wa mut shaheedan.

Urdu Translation:
نیا لباس پہنو اور قابلِ تعریف زندگی بسر کرو اور تم شہید بن کر فوت ہو۔

English Translation:
“Wear new clothes, live a praiseworthy life, and die as a martyr.”

لباس پہنتے وقت دائیں طرف سے شروع کرے۔٭ اور یہ دعا پڑھے۔

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰہِ الَّذِیْ کَسَانِیْ ھٰذَا الثَّوْبَ وَرَزَقَنِیْہِ مِنْ غَیْرِ حَوْلٍ مِّنِّیْ وَلَا قُوَّۃٍ

Transliteration:
Alhamdu lillahil-ladhi kasani hadhath-thawba wa razaqanihi min ghayri hawlin minni wa la quwwah.

Urdu Translation:
ہر قسم کی تعریف اللہ ہی کے لیے ہے جس نے مجھے یہ لباس پہنایا اور مجھے میری ذاتی قوت اور طاقت کے بغیر یہ عطا کیا۔

English Translation:
“All praise is for Allah who has clothed me with this garment and provided it for me without any might or power from myself.”
